On Saturday 29th September 2012 the new Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Stone Signs for Bere Regis were unveiled. The carved Bere Regis welcome stone at the Dorchester end of the village was unveiled by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Giles Sturdy. Ian Ventham, Chairman of the Bere Regis Parish Council, wrote a letter informing the Queen that the stones had been unveiled.
