Volunteer of the Year Award

Each year Purbeck District Council invites all Parish Councils to nominate one of their parishioners to be their Volunteer of the Year. In March of each year, a ceremony is held at Purbeck District Council offices in Wareham when all the nominees are presented with a small award. This is an ideal opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to those members of the community who go the extra mile to make life better for others.

Eligibility;   A full-time resident of Purbeck whose volunteer activities benefit the community in a substantial, important or unique way. The volunteer activity must have been undertaken during the award year.

If you know of anyone who you feel should receive this nomination, please contact the Clerk.

The 2017 nomination was Andy Kent and you can read his citation here: Andy Kent 2017.
