Community Transport Pilot Scheme

A pilot scheme for 12 weeks is going to bring a bus shopping trip to Poole to the villages of Bere Regis, Bloxworth, Morden and Winterborne(s) Kingston,  Muston and Zelston.

Starting 10 June. Tuesday mornings. The round trip will cost £8 or Bus Pass. It should allow approx. 2 hours at a large supermarket or at Falkland Square Poole.

Trips must be booked in advance, to arrange pickup places. It is a near door to door service. Help with shopping can be given.

Answering your requests for some transport for non drivers, Councillor Alex Brenton has arranged with Dorset Community Transport a pilot scheme.

It will fail if not used, and may be altered to fit demand.

Purbeck District Council – Partial Review Drop-in

Purbeck District Council recently launched a review of future growth in the district. The issues and options document, along with supporting evidence, is available on-line at www.dorsetforyou.com/purbeck-partial-review and people have until 13th March to submit their comments. As part of the consultation, Purbeck District Council are holding drop-in events around the district, including one in Bere Regis on Wednesday 18th February between 2pm and 8pm at the Scout Hunt, Elder Road. You are welcome to come and discuss the various options with planning officers.
