Bere Regis will be hosting a Jubilee Celebration on the Bank Holiday Monday 4th June. The fun will start with the Pageant Parade, leaving Shitterton for a tour of the village at approximately 2:15/2:30. The Pageant will be led by the Majorettes from Poole followed by themed decorated floats and numerous village organisations providing a colourful and fun filled turnout. A steam engine and various motor vehicles will also join the parade.
The Parade will terminate at the Sports Ground at the top of North Street whereupon judging will take place of the most appealing turnout.
Our Master of Ceremonies, Ian Ventham, your Parish Council Chairman will host the many field activities which will feature ‘The Adams Axemen’ ‘Silly Field Games’ followed by Village Picnic. Hog Roast, BBQ and music by ‘Quinns Quinney’.
The finale to the day will be the lighting of the Beacon at 10.30pm to the peal of our Church Bells.
Car Parking will be provided courtesy of Court Green Farm. Mr Tony Shaves will be on hand to supervise this facility.
Refreshments will be available at the Bere Regis Sports Club and the WI will be on hand with copious cups of tea and coffee.
Bring a picnic, couple of chairs and celebrate our Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
